[General Communications Protocol with PCI administrators)
Kindly direct your email to info@paddleculture.com or +65 9655 2337. If we are unable to take your call, it usually means we are either out at sea or lost out there. When we find our way back or stumble upon an internet terminal (whichever is earlier), we would reply your inqury as soon as it is humanly possible.
All general inquiries would be responded when we are able to. All commercial transactions would be formally acknowledged with a CONFIRMATION EMAIL. In addition, an Electronic Invoice (E-Invoice) would be sent via email within 2 weeks of course date.
[Website Communications Protocol]
No SPAMMING or DISPARAGING remarks to ANYONE in the portal. We reserve the right to delete your post(s) and in a harsher restriction, delete your account (and as a consequence, deny ANY certifications from PCI). Let's be friendly and civil towards one another.
[Buyers & Participants: :Please READ!]
Payment is made for "Total Sales" which refers to total payment due for services rendered or good supplied as per confirmed quotation or delivery order (whichever is most updated) via email or post.
"Deposit" refers to payment made to confirm Purchase Order ("PO") for provision of programme or service or supply of goods. The PO is confirmed, even without deposit, when:
- Electronic confirmation is made by customer via any electronic means (e.g. email, fax, etc.).
- Electronic acknowledgements of transactions are binding and would fall under the jurisdiction of Singapore Courts should any disputes arise.
- Written confirmation is made by customer via post.
If paid for advance, this deposit is non-refundable as long as the PO was confirmed. If the PO was confirmed but not paid for in advance, the full deposit must still be paid to Paddle Culture International PTE LTD.
After our EMAIL confirmation of your request, invoice or the like, the administrative (and necessary) aspect of enrolment is to be done electronically under Enrolment (Individual and/or Group) on our Home Page. If you experience any technical difficulty, you may contact us for further instructions at info@paddleculture.com or SMS/call us +65 9655 2337.
For those under 21 years old, you are required to have the consent of your parent or guardian. You may download the consent form here.

- We will remind you via email or via post when your invoice is 7 days overdue with each and every additional reminder carrying an administration penalty of SGD 10 (on top of whatever balance outstanding).
- All outstanding balances carries a compounding daily interest rate of 0.167% (this translates to about compounding monthly interest rate of ~5%)
Outstanding payment:
- The customer is liable for service provided or goods supplied (even for those not delivered, e.g. a customer orders a kayak from us but the kayak has not reached our firm as it is on its way from e.g. Europe, etc.) as long as the PO is confirmed.
Debt collection charges & Legal expenses:
- To be FULLY on the cost of the debtor once PO is acknowledged.
Postponement of programme:
- If, for some reason, a program has to be postponed, full payment would still be due as per invoice. Paddle Culture International reserves all rights to levy additional & consequential costs incurred (as a result of postponement) to the customer.
- If a programme is cancelled due to haze with PSI > 100, a make up session (and only limited to ONE make up session; any additional make up courses would be billed normally) will be arranged within 30 days of the original scheduled date of the program at no additional cost.
- If a programme is cancelled due to haze with 80 < PSI < 99, 50% of the original course fee will be due regardless of another session being arranged.
[Payment Methods]
ATM Transfer: How to make payment via ATM transfer?
Cheques: To be crossed and made payable to Paddle Culture International PTE LTD (DBS Current 015-901975-6) and mailed to 235 Upper Thomson Road Thomson Ridge Estate Singapore 574366.
If you do not want to mail the cheque out but drop the cheque into DBS or POSB, kindly scan a copy of the cheque and email us that scanned cheque to info@paddleculture.com citing the invoice number for that corresponding (scanned) cheque in your email. Please understand that we are overworked (we paddle hard from land to sea & from sea to land) and we would appreciate it so much if you could contribute in some infinitesimal way, it would help us much in expediting your transactions.
GIRO & Internet Banking Transfer:
If you are either transferring using GIRO or from a non-DBS/POSB account, you would have to select the following information (usually, for differing banks, it would take about 2-3 working days for your funds to reach us via IB transfer), Select Bank DBS (Bank Code 7171), Select Branch Toa Payoh (Branch Code 005) & Enter Current Account Number (0159019756).
For DBS/POSB account users, you just need to select DBS Current Account (0159019756).
[Certifications]
Your certificate would only be mailed to your school or your home provided if you pass the course, sign up in the community site and obey all our House Rules.
[Pictures]
You must have your picture taken at least ONCE during the course. We are trying to reduce the odds of people taking your tests for you (reducing fraud). Kindly remember that your assessor may NOT be your coach (and so, he may not recognize you). Please take this course seriously as we do not wish to be held liable for certifying someone who had not taken the test but claimed to have passed it by having another taking it for you (and later meeting with some misfortune out at sea). Be responsible to yourself and your loved ones.
In addition, for the community, we would put up some of your fun times on our site (and we reserve all rights to do so).
[Safety]
We shall be conducting inventory checks of your "Participants-to-bring" items. Failure to do so would result in us RENTING to you any shortfall items. We do NOT encourage borrowing or sharing of personal equipment as it compromises SAFETY. BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.
[Etc]
We will think of something to add here over time. We always do. :)
